Cruisin’ 2001 features classic, antique and special interest cars
The grounds between Ver­
nonia High School and Wash­
ington Grade School will be be
filled with classic, antique and
special interest cars when Ne­
halem Valley Spreed & Beauty
hosts Jamboree Cruise-In
2001 on Saturday, Aug. 5 from
10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Pre­
sentation of awards will begin
at 3:00 p.m.
This show features a long
list of categories in which ex­
hibitors can compete for prizes
and awards. There are 16 cat­
egories, including Mini Truck,
Sports, Convertible, P re -1941
cars, Cars from 1987 to pres-
ent and more.
The Bouncing Baby Boom­
ers & the Legendary Boom-
ettes return to entertain the
crowd with ‘50s-‘60s music
from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. In ad­
dition, a deejay will keep the
music going between events
and during registration.
The entry fee is $10.00 and
includes a packet with a dash
plaque and raffle tickets. Reg­
istration will start at 7:30 a.m.

dents on Sunday, August 5, in
front of Vernonia High School
at 11:30 a.m.
There were cars and trucks for every class, but this 1957
Chevrolet just couldn’t be missed during Jamboree Cruis’in.
