Descendents of the Ralph Mahar family got together for the 2000 Vernonia Jamboree parade with a banner, pep squad and dozens of family members.
The Astoria Regatta court provided one essential for a parade: Pretty girls on a pretty float.

Viewers at the 2001 Vernon­
ia Jamboree Parade will once
again be delighted by the an­
tics of the Astoria Clowns.
Saturday morning at 10:00
a.m., parade viewers will enjoy
the zany bunch with erratic bi­
cycles and slapstick humor.
The parade grand marshall
will be Myra Baska. Honorary
Grand Marshall is Wilbur Wil­
son. Citizens of the year are
Don and DeDe Webb.
The Vernonia Senior Citi­
zens will be represented by
Enid Parrow, who also repre­
sented Vernonia at the Colum­
bia County Fair in the “My Fair c ,ark McGaugh provided alternative transportation for the
