Bothered by phone solicitors?
In an attempt to eliminate telephone solicitations, residential
phone subscribers who want to register their numbers on the
Oregon No Call list may call the list administrator at 1-877-700-
6622 and request that a registration form be mailed. Informa
tion is also available from the List web site www.ornocall.com
Consumers pay $6.50 the first year and $3 per year for each
additional year they remain on the list.The list is published quar
terly, but consumers may register at any time. Depending on
when in the quarter a person registers, it could take up to 90
days to appear on the list. The fees are non-refundable and this
service is available only to residential subscribers.

This increase was made
possible by an annual income
adjustment announced by the
U.S. Department of Housing
and Urban Development (HUD).
These figures became effective
April 6, 2001.
The increases were needed
to help OHCS keep pace with
the high cost of buying a home
in Oregon, according to Jon
Gail, Residential Loan Program
Manager. “With our below-mar
ket fixed rate of 6.125 percent,
a near record low, this is a
great time for low and moder
ate income Oregonians to con
sider buying their first home,”
Gail said.
The new annual household
income limits were approved
by the State Housing Council
on April 27. In addition to the

properties being purchased in
the five-county Portland area
and Benton County. The pro
gram’s new annual household
income limits are as follows:
Statewide, the new limit is
$47,800. Benton County’s new
limit is $55,700. The new limit
in Clackamas, Columbia, Mult
nomah, Washington and Yam
hill, Counties is $55,900. The
new limits apply to all single
family loans reserved by
OHCS on or after April 27,
2001.

tractors or farm machinery,
though some exemptions exist
for family members.
Two clinics are scheduled in
Hillsboro, one for tractors and
one for farm machinery. The
tractor safety clinic is set for
Friday, June 1 from 4:00 to
9:00 p.m. and Saturday, June 2
from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Students must attend both.
The farm machinery session
will be Friday, June 8 from 4:00
to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday,
June 9 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00
p.m. Again, students must at
tend both.
