SHIRLEY E. DEDMORE
Shirley Elizabeth Dedmore, 74,
Troutdale, died February 10, 2001. A
service was held in Willamette Nation­
al Cemetery.
Mrs. Dedmore was born February
3,1927, in Vernonia. Her maiden name
was Larson. She moved to Vancouver,
Wash, as a child, then lived in Portland
and Troutdale. She married Gerald
Glen Dedmore in 1968.
Survivors include her husband;
three daughters, Robbiejo Hauzen-
berger, Pamela McCarty and Lana
Breese; a son, Rocky; three sisters,
Alva Burr, Virginia Berguland and
Dorothy Hill; seven grandchildren; and
two great-grandchildren.
Remembrances are suggested to
the Oregon Humane Society.

involved in many volunteer activities.
Mrs. Wessels was a member of the
Cornelius Historical Society and was a
volunteer for the Cornelius Lutheran
Center.
She was preceded in death by her
husband in 2000; a granddaughter,
Kathy Haag; two brothers and a sister.
Survivors include two daughters,
Phyllis Palmer of Portland and Sandra
Kalsch of Hillsboro; six grandchildren;
16 great grandchildren; two sisters,
Thelma Thompson of Forest Grove,
and Myrtle Marr of Cornelius; nieces
and nephews.
Remembrances are suggested to
American Cancer Society.
Donelson, Sewell and Mathews
Mortuary of Hillsboro was in charge of
arrangements.
Portland Memorial Funeral Home
was in charge of arrangements.
MARY L. WESSELS
Mary Leona Wessels, 82, Forest
Grove, died February 12, 2001. Grave­
side services and vault inurnment were
in Cornelius Methodist Cemetery, with
Pastor Fred Redwood, of Calvary Cen­
tro Missionero International, officiating.
Mrs. Wessels was born September
5, 1918, in Challis, Idaho, to Clifford
and Laura Lauder Sandy. The family
moved to Banks in 1924. She was
raised in Banks and graduated from
Banks High School in 1937.
In 1937, she married Phillip
Wessels. They lived in Cornelius.
She was a manager at Montgomery
Ward for more than 40 years. She was

Michael Paul Andes, 25,
Portland, was arrested early
February 11 in connection with
the death. He was arraigned in
