The Scout Cabin is receiving
much community support, with
rentals for many special occa
sions making it possible for two
Cub Scout groups - the Bears
and the Webelows - and Boy
Scout Troop 201 to use it on a
regular basis. During this first
year, there have been 25
rentals, 59 free youth events,
and ten additional community
events.
Friends of The Scout Cabin
is a non-profit organization and
receives no outside funding.
The facility is maintained with
income from rental fees com
bined with the services of vol
unteers.
Those who have not yet
seen the interior of The Scout
Cabin should avail themselves
of this opportunity. The facililty
provides a good place for spe
cial events and meetings, while
providing a free meeting place
for local youth organizations
and activities.
