Business Notes
Bridge Street Automotive now open at Meyer’s Auto
Providing quality automotive
care in the Vernonia vicinity is
the goal of Bridge Street Auto
motive, a newly formed part
nership located in Meyer’s Auto
Body building.
Partners Dean Smith and
Mike McBride are already serv
ing customers and have plans
for a Grand Opening early in
February. While the shop is be
coming established, it will be
open five days a week, with the
partners sharing a schedule of
three-day and two-day shifts.
In the meantime, they each
will spend their alternate days
working at their present jobs at
Chrysler and Jeep garages in
the Hillsboro/Beaverton area.
Smith moved to Vernonia in
1987 and is a 1989 Vernonia
ody shop
High School graduate. He has
completed two years in Auto
motive and Diesel at University
Technical Institute in Phoenix.
He has accumulated eleven
years of professional experi
ence in addition to working in
his grandfather’s Rock Creek
shop as a youth.
Mike McBride was not avail
able for this interview, but is an
experienced mechanic and is
working at a Jeep shop in the
valley.
The partners have the
equipment necessary to trou
ble shoot and repair most cars,
including the hi-tech systems in
today’s vehicles.
