Lynne Cox selected for Colum bia Foundation executive position
Lynne A. Cox will join the
Columbia Foundation Board of
Directors at Executive Director,

ing Barbara Peschiera, who
accepted a position with
OHSU.
Ms. Cox, born in Lebanon
and attended Willamette Uni
versity College of Law. She
graduated summa cum laude
in 1989, finishing first in her
class. She received a Bachelor
of Arts degree in English edu
cation from the University of
Oregon in 1977. From 1992 -
1994, she was Executive Di
rector of VORP of Multnomah
County, a Portland non-profit
organization that served the
community through volunteer

leadership, VORP received na

model program for similar pro
grams throughout Oregon. She

Sally Phillips named to Vernonia Postmaster position
After months of interim su-
pervisors—and just in time for
the Christmas rush—Sally
Phillips has been appointed as
Vernonia’s new postmaster.
This is the first official post
master position for Phillips, a
15 year veteran of the U.S.
Postal Service, who started as
a carrier in Tualatin and Gre
sham. From there, she went on
to temporary and interim su
pervisory positions in Tualatin,
Beaverton, Lake Oswego,
Evergreen and other Post Of
fices. She also served as coor
dinator of the Quality of Work-
life Employee Involvement pro
gram for rural carriers in the
Western and Pacific areas,
which is approximately the
western half of the U.S., for
more than two years.
