OSU Extension Study Groups’ annual fall luncheon in St. Helens
One way to be “connected”
to the larger world is through
Family and Community Educa
tion (FCE) study groups, points
out Jan Pahl, Oregon State
University Extension faculty.
FCE study groups regularly
participate in programs that
build national and international
understanding. This year, Co
lumbia County FCE groups are
sponsoring a Fall Luncheon fo
cused on celebrating our her
itage as a nation and honoring
our flag.
“Old Glory,” the story of our
flag, will be presented by Major
General Bill Adams, Comman
der of Camp Adair and Heroes
of 76 National Sojourners.
Mary Stevely, FCE member
and pianist, will play a reper
toire of patriotic songs that are
a part of our proud heritage.
FCE Fall Luncheon will be
held on Wednesday, October
25, at the Moose Lodge in St.
Helens, beginning at 9:30 a.m.
It is open to all interested per
sons and cost for program and
luncheon is $9.00. Tickets are
available from FCE study group
council members or Oregon
State University Extension Of
fice in Columbia County. To re
serve your lunch ticket, send
your name, address and check
payable to Columbia County
FCS to Columbia County Ex
tension Office, Courthouse, St.
Helens, OR 97051.
In addition to the Fall Lun
