Horn, Whitehead keep their county, show championship titles
Scott Whitehead, at left in front, 1999 Vernonia Logging Show winner, received his trophy at
the beginning of the 2000 logging show. Presenting the trophy were Jack Sweeney and Lau­
rie Barber of Wilcox & Flegel, who sponsored the trophy, logging show chairman Bill
Woolsey and show organizer Jani Richards.
Ray Kyser started the ax throwing competition with a
four-point toss.
Vernonia Logging Show results
For the third year in succes­
sion, Scott Whitehead of Tilla­
mook captured the title of Ver­
nonia All-Around Logger, with a
total of 24 points.

the second consecutive year. The winner of this award is selected by show officials.
