Horn second in local show, but earns Columbia County Logger title
Jim Horn, of Longview,
clearly outscored the com peti
tion to become 1999 Columbia
County Logger of the Year.
Horn had already accumu
lated 63 points in three logging
shows at Clatskanie, Rainier
and the Columbia County Fair
and, at the final show of the
season in Vernonia, added 13
more for a total of 76 points.
Kevin Hofenbredl, of Grand
Ronde, and Greg Brewer,
C latskanie, tied for second
place w ith 34 points each.
Hofenbredl and Brewer each
missed one of the four county
logging shows.
