Third annual Rainier Days in the Park, July 6 thru 9
Rainier Days in the Park -

6-9, will take place at the
Rainier City Park, on the Co
lum bia R iver in dow ntow n
Rainier.
Events will include a carni
val, vendors selling of all kinds,
a beer garden with live music in
the evenings, plus local music
in the gazebo throughout the
weekend. A teen dance will be
on the tennis court Friday, July
7th.
Featured for the second year is
Steve Bartow, who does a
clown act at the top of an 80-
foot pole, and his son Brian,
who has won two world titles
for pole speed climbing.

A parade will start at 10:00
a.m. on Saturday, July 8, be
ginning at C Street and Fern-
hill, go east to First Street,
where it will turn north and con
tinue to A Street along the river,
and end at the Bank of America
parking lot where prizes will be
awarded.
The Logging Show, also on
Saturday, will start at 2:00 p.m.,
with cash and awards, plus
points tow ard the C olum bia
County Logger of the Year.

skydivers falling from the sky,
perform ing acrobatics with
phosphorus and lights.
The Rainier Eagles #4022 is
hosting the event for the third

will hold their annual Poker
Ride June 24. Registration be
gins at Anderson Park Arena at
9:00 a.m. with the last rider out
at 11:00 a.m. Poker hands are
$5.00 each or five hands for
$20. The ride is approximately
3 hours long and is level 2-3.
