ducing the City’s newest officer, Jim Gaskins, to the com­
munity. A native of Peoria, III., Gaskins has 18 years experi­
ence with law enforcement in Oregon, most recently in
Sutherlin. His wife and 15-year-old daughter have joined
him in Vernonia. They also have a son in the Air Force.
