Lady Loggers basketball team still struggling with consistency
The Lady Logger varsity
basketball team posted a big
loss Jan. 7 at Warrenton, 54-

“The girls weren't really
there mentally,” said head
coach Vince Baker. “It may

the game, and had only a two
point lead, at 18-20.
“At the beginning of the sec-

locker room ready to get ahead
and stay focused,” said Baker,
Posley netted 12 points for
the team, while Erica Hobart
had two assissts in the game,
“A key spot is the point guard,
and as point guard, Erica is do-

Lack of play slows girls jayvees
The Vernonia High School
girls junior varsity basketball
team has had a slow start this
year. League play stands at 1 -

improve our record throughout
the season,” said coach Jeff
Cheney.
At Warner Pacific College,

were defeated by Portland
Christian, 70-18. Freshman
Kim Normand led the team with
nine points.

The team’s second league
