Dan Fox is still the “most impressive” driver at St. Helens track

leader Dan Fox, Portland,
continued to be the most im
pressive driver in the series
as he notched a fourth place
finish after starting last in the
Tom Fischer Trucking & Exca
vating Chevrolet Lumina.
“I really couldn’t pull away
from anyone but it was a fun
race and I enjoyed the good,
close racing throughout the
main event,” said Quinn. "I’ve
had lots of success here and I
hope to win a few more races
and maybe finish in the top-
10 of the division standings
this year.”
“I started up front but after
Quinn moved ahead of me I
was unable to pass him be
cause all the caution flags re
ally prevented me from get
ting enough m om entum to
pass him,” said Liner, who
recorded his highest finish
this year with his W EBCO
R acing/Law rence Oil spon
sored M onte Carlo. “I’m hop
ing to get my first win soon
and I also think I have a good
chance to win a second con
secutive title because I’m not
too far behind in the point
standings.”
W est captured the M odi
fied Main followed by two-
tim e w inner Jack McCoy, who
posted victories n the Trophy
Dash and Heat Race. Ferran-
do won the Pro-4 Modified
fe a tu re a fte r passing his
nephew, 17-year-old Zac Fer-
rando on lap four, then stayed
up front for the rem ainder of
the 25-lap race.
H ills b o ro ’s Doug Lock-
w ood w as a two-tim e winner
with victories in the Sports
m an B -M ain and Trophy
Dash, while Sam Morrison,
Scappoose, won the Street
S tock B-M ain. N early 120
cars participated in the sixth
race on the CCRA schedule.
