We wish to express our deepest
gratitude for the many expressions
of sympathy that have been made
toward our family during this time of
immeasurable pain and loss. Our
hearts have been reminded, though,
not to be filled with overmuch sor
row, having assurance that our loss
is Gene's gain. God has been gra
cious to us through your our-pouring
of letters, cards, flowers, words of
encouragement, as well as your
overwhelming tribute to Gene at the
memorial service, which was a spe
cial honor. It is our prayer that you
do not quickly forget the exhorta
tions in regards to your own souls
that many of you heard personally
from Gene’s own mouth and life, as
well as at his memorial. May the
Last Day reveal that Gene did not
labor in vain in his lifetime for your
soul's salvation.
No one will ever be able to fill his
shoes, but may God give us grace
to live before you with a portion of
his heart, boldness, and conviction.
Sincerely,
Joyce Weller
