Wednesday from 9:30 a m. to
4:30 p.m. in Anderson Park.

DORINE H. MORROW
Oorine H. Morrow, 63, died Au­
gust 30, 1995, at her home in Turn­
er,. Private graveside services were
held Aug. 31 at the Vernonia Memori­
al Cemetery in Vernonia. Memorial
services were held at Club Paisano
at C e d a rville Park, G resham , on
Sept 5, with the Venerable Jordan B.
Peck officiating.
D o rin e H. M o rro w w as born
September 16, 1931 in Vernonia to
Burt James and Belle Plummer Hen­
derson; she was the adopted daugh­
ter of Norval and Emma Moore. She
was raised and educated in Vernonia
and Sheridan. The family moved to
Corona, Calif., where she graduated
from high school.
A lth o u g h she w as s e v e re ly
dyslexic, Mrs. Morrow established pi­
oneering programs in the floristry and
health fields at Mount Hood Commu­
nity College and at Truckee Mead­
ows Community College in Nevada.
Her floristry program, which began in
1968, was the first two-year degree
for floristry in the United States. She
was also successful in real estate.
She m arried Roy S. Morrow in
1951. They liv e d in O regon and
Nevada until se ttling in Turner in
1988 to be near her mother, Emma
Moore Weston.
Mrs. Morrow was a m ember of
the Episcopal Church.
She was preceded in death by
her parents, her adoptive father, her
stepfather, eight brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her husband,
her mother, and a son, Dean Morrow,
all o f Turner; a daughter, Sue M.
Flanagan of Westchester, New York;
a brother, Pete Henderson of Estaca­
da; a sister, Angie Muhleman of Es­
tacada; four grandchildren; num er­
ous nieces and nephews.

MILDRED F. RSHER
Mildred Frances Fisher, 81, Hills­
boro, died Aug. 31, 1995, in Hills­
boro. A service of remembrance at
Donelson Sewell and Mathews Mor­
tuary will be announced at a later
date.
Mrs. Fisher was bom Dec. 21,
1913, in White Water, Wis., to Willard
H. and Lottie Hackett Pratt. She was
ra is e d in A le xa n d ra , M inn., and
moved to Buxton in 1931.
In 1933, she married Earl Fisher
and lived in Timber until moving to
Hillsboro in 1942. Mr. Fisher died in
1980.
M rs. F is h e r w as m a n a g e r of
Montgomery Ward catalog stores in
Hillsboro, Forest Grove and Beaver­
ton for more than 24 years.
She was a m em ber of the Re­
bekah Lodge for more than 50 years
and had served as grand matriarch
for five years. She also was presi­
dent of the LAPN and held several
other offices at the lodge.
Mrs. Fisher was a member of the
Hillsboro United Methodist Church.
