at the state tournament start
ing Friday. July 27. in Aloha
Park Their first game will be
at 6 p m Ray Allen and Tim
Williamson coach the team

teams and the American Ju
nior team were strong con
tenders for state tournament
berths This season also saw
the fo rm a tio n of an 11-12
year old girls' softball team
that com peted w ith team s
from the Forest Grove Hills
boro area The National Ju
nior team showed consider
able im provem ent and won
four out of th e ir last six
games Svenson said
Eight Junior Midget teams
more than eve before, pu, a
prem ium on fie ld use, he
added, but the season was
made ever, more enjoyable
because everyone worked
