Rebecca “Becky” Marie
Paaso passed away in Port-
land on Aug. 6, 2021, and is
now in the loving arms of
her Lord and Savior Jesus
Christ. She was 53 years
old.
Becky was born in Port-
land on Dec. 13, 1968, and
moved with her parents and
brother to Seaside in 1980.
She graduated from Sea-
side High School, and was
an active member of 4-H
for 11 years, earning many
awards for her outstand-
ing work in several 4-H
projects.
She was rewarded for
her outstanding work in her
commodity marketing proj-
ect and attended the Com-
modity Marketing Sympo-
sium at the Chicago Board
of Trade, and was on the
trading fl oor while trading
was going on, a great honor.
Becky represented Clat-
sop County 4-H as an out-
bound exchange student to
Japan. The Paaso family
hosted many Japanese stu-
dents in their home through
the years.
Becky loved the Japa-
nese culture, and went to
Japan again as a missionary
through a Christian orga-
nization. Becky also went
to Japan for a 15-month
period and taught young
Japanese children how to
speak English. She loved
that, and has many friends
in Japan who will miss her
very much.
Becky graduated from
Western Oregon State
College with a degree in
early childhood develop-
ment. She loved children.
After college, Becky lived
and worked in the Beaver-
ton area for several years,
and then moved back to
Seaside.
She attended Clatsop
Community College, and
earned a medical assis-
tant certifi cate in 2015. She
worked at Neawanna By

Assisted Living facilities.
She loved to help people,
and they loved her.
Becky enjoyed knitting,
and she made many knit-
ted pillows and gave them
as gifts to her family and
friends. She will be greatly
missed by her family and
friends.
She is survived by her
mother, Katie Paaso, of
Seaside; a brother, Erick
Paaso, and his wife, Sheila
Paaso, of Beaverton; and
many cousins, aunts and
uncles. Becky’s father,
Jack Paaso, passed away in
2009.

Ted William Stallsworth
passed away peacefully on
Aug. 19, 2021, in Portland.
He was born to Retta Mal-
very Stallsworth in Central
Point. John David Campbell
married Retta shortly after
Ted was born and he became
his “Dad.” He is preceded in
death by his mother, dad and
grandmother, Lona Stalls-
worth. Ted was a beloved
husband, father, grandfather,
uncle, nephew and friend.
Ted grew up in Medford,
and at 17, he convinced his
mother that the U.S. Army
was the right choice for him.
Ted served in the Army for
three years before receiving
an honorable discharge in
1989. After the military, Ted
settled in Medford and strug-
gled with addiction issues
for several years during his
20s. In 1995, he moved to
the North Oregon Coast and
found recovery in 1996.
In 1998, he started Pro-
Fresh Carpet Care. While
building Pro-Fresh, he
worked as a bus driver in
Seaside and Warrenton,
drove log trucks for Jim
Benson, U.S. mail truck for
KM Nielsen, was a concrete
truck driver for A-1 Ready
Mix and a mixture of other
side jobs. Ted had a passion
for knowledge and making
himself better and putting his
past in the rearview mirror.
One of his proudest accom-
plishments was completing
his training and becoming a
reserve offi cer for the War-
renton Police Department.
Ted loved the out-
doors. In his spare time, he
enjoyed fi shing the Colum-
bia, Nehalem and Clatskanie
rivers and the Pacifi c Ocean.
He spent the beginning of
fall each year hunting deer
in Eastern Oregon and elk on
the North Coast. One of his
favorite pastimes was clam-
ming on the beaches. He
always met a fi rst time clam-
ming enthusiast and would
share his experiences and
stories while teaching them
how to dig for clams.
He is survived by the love
of his life, Julie Halvorsen
Stallsworth. They married in
2000 and spent the next sev-
eral years raising their four
children, Brandon (Deb-
bie), of Newberg, Jacob
(Kirsten), of Cedar Rapids,
Iowa, Ariel Barber (Keith),
of Tigard, and Sierra Hodges
(Morgan), of Warrenton. He
is also survived by his fi ve
grandboys, Tyler, Ryker,
Isaac, Aaron and Mason. His
grandboys were the apple of
papa’s eyes, and they had
a very special place in his
heart for them.
Ted had an extended
family that included close
friends, friends of Bill W.
and Pro-Fresh customers.
There were not many places
that Ted would go and not
meet a new friend or catch
up with an old friend each
day. A celebration of Ted
was held Thursday at Cof-
fenbury Lake.
