Those who choose to sit on the sideline and watch the game may off er support and perspective, but they can also be critical of those more involved in the action. Lastly, there are partic- ipatators. Participatators are folks who do their part, act within the systems and opportunities available to them and improve the lives of those around them. It makes little diff erence what the role is, participatators always do their best and care less about credit than they do about collaboration. I’m incredibly grate- ful for the wonderful life and signifi cant impact that Claudia Archibald had on me and countless others. I challenge each of you to act within your infl uence, participate and be a model of the characteristics she upheld. JON V. These coho still, after all these years, come back to spawn in the Neawanna.” The natural history park also provides critical out- door recreation for commu- nity members that supports health and well-being. The mental and physical bene- fi t of being out in nature are well-documented, Holmes said, but “we sort of take it for granted, or we ignore it, or we don’t know about it.” City Council mem- ber Tom Horning, the liai- son for the Parks Advisory Committee, also was at the event to give visitors a glimpse into the geological history of the area and how the Necanicum watershed has evolved over centuries. The organization is a partner in the Mill Ponds project. “It’s all about support- ing salmon habitat,” Hunt said, adding the council inc .
