Two Seaside men charged
with attempted murder

at the Oregon Public Safety
Academy on Salem on
Thursday.

assault at a Seaside apart-
ment that left three men
injured.
Boyer was charged
Thursday with attempted
murder in the second
degree, assault in the fi rst
degree, three counts of
assault in the second degree,
burglary in the fi rst degree,
two counts of unlawful use
Two Seaside men
have been arraigned for
attempted murder in the
second degree.
Christopher Neil Quig-
gle-Boyer, 35, and Gary
Alen Lane Gobin, 40, were
arrested on Oct. 7 after an
of a weapon and two counts
of menacing.
Gobin was charged Fri-
day with attempted mur-
der in the second degree,
assault in the fi rst degree,
two counts of assault in the
second degree, burglary
in the fi rst degree, unlaw-
ful use of a weapon and
menacing.

who called a crisis line who
indicated they were suicidal.
On arrival the person denied
being suicidal. The crisis line
caller was advised.

ters: A person came in to
register as a sex off ender.

Franklin: Drug paraphernalia
reported.

12:45 a.m., Wahanna near
Broadway: Transients report-
ed going through trash are
warned of complaints about
their behavior.
2:27 a.m., Eleventh and N.
Franklin: A person is arrested
on a warrant.
5:25 a.m., Avenue J and
Roosevelt: A person is arrested
for DUI.
10:45 a.m., 500 block N.
Wahanna: A couple reported
causing a disturbance are con-
tacted by police; the man said
the argument was verbal only.
The woman had left.
8:06 p.m., Beach and Best
Western: Caller requests help
getting their intoxicated sister
back to the motel. Medical
assistance was judged needed;
police left when medics
arrived.

11:21 p.m., 1100 block N. Mari-
on: Police assist Gearhart police
on a disturbance call.
11:59 p.m., 1100 block Broad-
way: Subjects are advised they
are indefi nitely trespassed.
Oct. 11
3:03 a.m., N. Wahanna: A miss-
ing person is reported.
6:17 a.m., 2100 block Lew-
is and Clark: Transients are
reported rummaging through
a dumpster at a housing
complex. Police are unable to
locate.
Oct. 14
2:39 p.m., 800 block S. Roo-
sevelt: Drug paraphernalia is
reported.
2:47 p.m., Outlet mall, S.
Roosevelt: Caller reports a man
in the women’s restroom minus
his pants. Police fi nd a man in
the man’s bathroom wearing
pants. An employee asked
police to get the man to leave.
He was trespassed.
3:25 p.m., Outlet mall, S.
Roosevelt: Caller reports a
man in the restroom without
pants. Police inform him he’s
trespassed from the entire mall.
He left without incident.

12:00 a.m., Prom: Emergency
medical response.
4:01 a.m., 1200 block Ave-
nue D: Emergency medical
response.
9:21 p.m., Wahanna and 12th:
A person is charged with driv-
ing with a suspended/revoked
license.

12:30 a.m., Beach: Police
respond to a request for a wel-
fare check for a person on the
beach. Offi cer patrol area but
don’t fi nd anyone in distress.
1:03 a.m., 400 block N. Prom:
Police check in with an intoxi-
cated person who was checked
by medics. The person declined
transport to the hospital and
agreed to go to sleep for the
night.

Franklin: Caller reports possible
prowler inside her carport.
Police search the area with
negative results.
7:14 a.m., 400 block Avenue U:
Police dispatch a deer with two
broken legs.
11:42 a.m., 1000 block S. Holla-
day: Sex crimes are reported.

9:21 a.m., 2100 block S.
Franklin: Caller reports verbal
disturbance between apart-
ment dwellers. The aggressor
is contacted by police and
warned of disorderly conduct
and telephone harassment.
5:51 a.m., Police headquarters:
A found wallet is turned into
police for safekeeping.
Oct. 14
5:36 p.m., 2400 block S. Roos-
evelt: Motel management asks
to have a person trespassed
for refusal to wear a mask.
The person refused to identify
themselves to law enforcement
and left soon after.
2:04 p.m., Avenue E: Emergen-
cy medical response.
6:22 p.m., 1200 block S.
Holladay: Caller reports person
refusing to wear a mask and
requests they be trespassed.
The individual left the property
prior to police arrival. Police
looked for them with negative
results.

A 23-year-old Seaside man
crashed Oct. 17 at 8:25 a.m.
on U.S. Highway 101 near
milepost 17 when he looked
down to adjust the radio. His
vehicle drifted off the road and
he overcorrected, crashing
him into the northbound
ditch where he rolled at least
one-and-a-half times before
his car came to rest on its top.
He wasn’t hurt and requested
Classic Towing for recovery.
DUII on Highway 101
Thomas Henry Berry, 66 from
Seaside, was arrested and
charged with DUII Oct. 17 at
9:28 p.m. on U.S. Highway 101
at milepost 17. Police say Berry
drove off the highway and
crashed; he left the scene and
returned with a 21-year-old
man in another vehicle to pull
out the car that crashed. Berry,
who was driving, showed signs
of impairment. He refused to
take the fi eld sobriety test and
was arrested. Transported to
the county jail, he refused to
take a blood alcohol count
test. A warrant for a blood
draw was submitted and
approved by a Clatsop County
judge. Medix assisted at the
jail with the blood draw and
the blood was submitted for
testing. No tow was called.
Driver extricated
A 62-year-old Cannon Beach
woman was rescued from her
crashed car Oct. 19 at 5:06 a.m.,
on U.S. Highway 101 near mile-
post 32 at Shannon Lane. The
driver lost control in the curves
and crashed, dropping her off
the edge of the cliff , hundreds
of feet down an embankment.
She called for help from inside
the vehicle and fi re personnel
used ropes to extricate her. She
was taken to the hospital for
minor injuries by ambulance.
The car was totaled.
Into a ditch
A 61-year-old man traveling
too fast in an ODOT posted
construction zone on U.S.
Highway 101 near milepost
3 Oct 19 at 10:59 a.m. was
stopped by a roadway worker
and subsequently lost control
of his car, sending it into a
ditch. He was cited for careless
driving and driving without
insurance. No injuries were
reported and there was no
damage to the car.
Sprayed with mace
A woman called 911 on Oct.
19 at 4:54 p.m., to say she was
sprayed by mace.
