A free ballet class is offered by Encore.
Free community ballet class
Encore has partnered
with the Encore Perform-
ing Arts Foundation to
offer a free community
ballet class. The class is
taught by Trixie Leone,
and focuses on a classical
education in ballet for all
abilities and backgrounds,
including some instruc-
tion on muscles and parts
of the body involved in
dance. Leone’s experi-
ence includes a masters of
science in education, in-
struction and curriculum
along with 20-plus years
of training in the classical
Cecchetti ballet method.
Each session will be
eight weeks and is spon-
sored by businesses and
members of our commu-
nity. This first session is
sponsored by Chad and
Denele Sweet.
Tuition is free and reg-
istration is $10 to cover
administrative and insur-
ance costs. The class is
open to ages 13 through
adult and the only re-
quirement is movable
clothing to dance in. The
class will meet on Mon-
days from 6:30 to 7:30
p.m. at Encore Dance
Studio’s Warrenton loca-
tion, with the first session
meeting Jan. 8 through
