The competition is intended to encourage and reward scholastic achieve- ment, communication skills, talent and community service. In preparation for the competi- tion, all contestants will attend a “Pageant Camp” workshop being held in Seaside, Oregon. This concentrated workshop is aimed at helping each par- ticipant build success skills, unique to her, in a number of DUHDVLQFOXGLQJKRZWR¿OORXW scholarship applications, in- terview skills and techniques, health tips, grooming and make-up demonstrations, a fashion show and much more.
