CHAMBER OF COMMERCE TO ENTERTAIN SECRETARY LANE A meeting of the directors of the Klamath Chamber of Commerce was arid Tuesday afternoon, when plans were discussed for the entertainment of the Central Oregon Development League, which meets in Klamath Falls August 19, 20 and 21. Reservations are being requested from all over the state for accommo dations during the meeting, and it is believed that there will be an enor mous gathering at that time. A committee was appointed to ar range for a delegation to go to Cra ter Lake and meet Secretary Lana of the interior department. It will also have charge of his entertainment dur ing his stay in Klamath county. Another committee was appointed to arrange for a delegation to attend the barbecue at La Pine this coming Saturday. Several parties have al ready signified their intention of go ing, among them being Judge W. S. Worden, Commissioner Hagelatein, Sheriff C. C. Low and Syd Evans and party. It is possible that President Savidge of the Chamber of Commerce and Sec retary Wylde will attend. Some of the party will leave Klam ath Falls Friday evening, and spend the night at Fort Klamath, leaving there Saturday morning.
