Hourglasses In a London Church.
Nearly everybody is aware that at !
ene time it was the custom in many i
churches to regulate the length of the
sermon by an hourglass, which stood I

preacher. Quite a number of these
curious relics are preserved In various
ecclesiastical edifices throughout the
land, but the British and Foreign Sall

merly Ratcliff highway, is the only one
possessing four. They are in perfect
preservation and are fixed all together
