Mrs. Hum phery and their »on remaiued in the Bay City, where they will spend several weeks visiting with friends. Mr. Humphrey states thst prospects for government irrigation in Klamath county are brighter than ever. A con sultation was held in San Francisco of great significance to the enterprise. At I this conference were present government officials, Governor Pardee, of California, the Lindley railroad people. Weed rail road representatives, prominent capital- ! ist* and lumbermen, and a general en- 1 thusiasm prevailed throughout. Governor Panlee assured all concern ed that California Would co-operate heartily with Oregon in the Klamath project, and that so far as lay in the power of California’s Chief Executive in the way of the passing of laws to hasten the completion of the work it would be done. The government has secured the com modious building from J. W. Hamakar ' on Main street, known as the Charlie I Parrish property, and will occupy this for its winter quarter», where a large force of engineers, draughtsmen and clerks pill be employed.
