DEATH OF MRS. PIERCE.
Mrs. Eda Applegate Pierce, wife of
Joseph G. Pierce, diet! at the home of
her parents In West Klamath Falls
last Thursday shortly before noon,
aged 28 years. Mr». Pierce had been
seriously ill for the past five weeks
with Typhoid fever and a few day*
before her death she had rallied and
hopes were entertained of her recov­
ery. The direct cause of death was
heart trouble, which she had been
subject to.
Deceased was the daughter of Mr-
and Mrs. Ivan Applegate. Besides
her buslHind she Is survived by a son.
Alliert, aged alsmt four years, also
three sisters, Misses Allee, Lena and
Jessie and one brother, Morey Apple­
gate.
Funeral services were held from
the Applegate residence Friday at 2
o’clock.
Interment was made In
Klamath Falls cemetery. Rev. W.
(>. Smith conducted the burial ser-
vices.
