The Klamath Fain City asso
ciation first annual handicap
bowling tournament got under
way at the Klamath Recreation
alleys with three five-man teams
rolling their team events Wed
nesday night. Thirteen five-man
teams are entered to date with

teama expected to enter before
Friday nigp.t. Due to conflicting
league, schedules, entries for
team events will b held open
until Friday at 7:30 p. m. City
association warned the kegllng
fraternity to post entry fees or
file deposits to hold entries as
absolutely no team entries will
be accepted after F.'iday night's
squada start rolling their team
events at 8 p. m.
Association officials stated
that while team enl-ies to date
are coming up to expectations
they are naturally disappointed
at the apparent timidity on the
part of certain so-called hot ahot
bowlers to enter the tournament.

Northwest International Bowl
ing congress was claimed here
today when Boyd Walker, con
gress secretary, announced 302
teams had entered the 1941 meet.
Bowling starts April 30 and
continues for 11 days.
Previously the record entry
was Spokane's 293 teams In 1939.
Simultaneously the western
women's congress will hold its
tournament with about 180
teama entered.
