Outstanding Northwest Players To Appear Her
In Bundles for Britain Benefit at Reames
Of interest to golf fans and those who enjoy the game a
spectators, is word of the exhibition to be presented here Thurs
day, May the eighth, as a benefit for the local unit, Bundle
for Britain.
Purpose of the tour is to
help raise funds for war re
lief ' work, the gallery fees
charged given entirely to the
local unit of Bundles for
Britain. It is pointed out that
the players receive no part
of the fund and in view of
the fact the players are such
top-fighters aa Misa Marian
McDougall of Portland, Mrs.
Joye Kavanaugh Priebe of
Seattle, and Miss Muriel
Veatch of Longview, the gal
lery is expected to be excep
tionally large.
The visiting players will
present the exhibition at
Reames Golf and Country
club, the exact time to be an
nounced later. Misa McDou
gall, Mrs. Priebe. and Miss
Veatch are all amateur golf
era and are being more than
generous in their effort to
help raise funds for Bundles
for Britain. The proposed
tour, which includes appear
ances in Seattle. Longview,
Corvallis, Marshfield, Klam
ath Falls. Bend, The Dalles,
Pendleton, Baker, LaGrande,
Walla Walla, and Wenatchee,
Washington, is the idea of the
three young players and they
are paying their own ex
