here at mid-week, were an elder
ly couple. Mr. and lira. Fred
Paullln. and their seven children
and grandchildren. Four adults

into the tiny car, when the phys
ical condition of Paullln came to
the attention of Dr. O. 8. New-
som. county health officer.
The family had been on the re
lief Hats in Josephine county, but
with the help of relativea and
money made In picking hope, had
purchased a car and set out for
Pine Bluff, Wyo., where relativea
live.
When they atopped here. Dr.
Newsora advlaed that Paullln
could not make the trip by auto
mobile. Mrs. Paullln said that
her brother In Wyoming might
be able to send 366 so that ahe
and her husband could proceed
by train.
County relief workers Investi
gated the altnntlon, and tele
graphed th brother. Th money
arrived Saturday morning, the
elder Paulllns caught a train, and
the others In the party drove east
ward In the automobile.

There waa no change In local
valuee on fresh for th day. In

quoted for fresh goods than

survey indicated that the higher
prices were mora for th pur
pose of forcing greater sale of

Market for butter waa show
ing a fairly active tone with the
chief Interest continued In the

In the price of either print,
cubea or bntterfat.
Practically no spirit was sug
gested In the general live chicken
trade for the week-end. Prices
were held but that waa about all.

Mr. Griffin celebrated hi
