THE END OF THE TRAIL
When we come to the end of the lonjr, long trail,
And we sit alone with our thoughts,
And the sand runs low in the Glass of Time, ,
And we're face to face with our God ;
Then we know what the end of the loiitf, Ioii'k Trail
Can mean to a tired heart.
When the sun sinks over the Great Divide,
And the dear friends have to part.
For soon we'll come to the End of the Trail,
To the end of a journey, too.
Let the thought it brinps be bitr and strong.
And the wishes kind and true.
For Memory? the painter of pictures true.
Paints with colors that do not fade.
May we find at the end of the lonjr, long Trail,
The souls of the friends we've made.'
