terday by Earl Reynolds, sec
retary of the chamber of com
merce, and C. A. Henderson. "
Although no definite dates for
the show have been act. the ex
hibit will be conducted in the
middle of November.
Realizing that the potato In
dustry had suddenly developed
into one of the major crops
of tho Klamath basin, and sen
sing the advantage of advertis
ing the- Klamath county as a
potato productlng center, growers
and the chamber of commerce de
cided to stage each year a Klam
ath potato show at which tho
hest exhibits of pntaloei in the
county would be displayed.
The first potato show was held
In the chamber of commerce;
the second In the I.oomls bulld-
j Ing Main street between Fourth
and Fifth, where the third ex
hibit will be held has not been
determined.
According to estimates today,
the Klamath potato crop will
total between 8U0 and 900 cars
this season; last season's total
was 825.
