Expert's Plans of
New Sewer System
A compreheaslve report on the
aewer Ituatlon In Klamalh Kall
. and an outline of reciiinmeniiatlons
lor adequate aewer facilities here,
was received yesterday by the city
Clerk from Clyde C. Kennedy, con
aulttnc engineer from San Fran
clco. who made an exhaustive sur
. ey of the stluallon here last spring.
, In his dntalled report to (he city
Kennedy recommends a modern
sewage system costing fttl.&ti&.Or),
..Which vlll take care of the city's
Seeds for all time. The engineer's
, findings will probably be consid
red by the city council in the near
' future.
t '.v In presenting his data and apeclfi-
cations, Kennedy stated: "Kxiating
conditions at Klamath Falls, with Us
unprecedented growth, and existing
inadequate sewerage facilities, vi
tally affect the health and economic
welfare of the community and de
mand that immediate action be
taken toward the installation of
an adequate aystem."
. The consulting engineer advises
the installation of one large Iso-
lated treatment plant, in preference
to several smaller plants, and names
a the beat location a site on the
westerly ' shore of Lake Ewauna,
' about one mile sooth of the city
limits. The report deals with Ihe
collection and conveyance of sew-
age as well as with the problem of
wage treatment.
Kennedy advocates a collection
and conveyance system concentrating
t aewage from all tributary areas at a j
' single location near Link River and;
. the Main street bridge, - to be
pumped from there through an out
i.fall line under low pressure to the
Mtreating plant on the west side of
.- the lake. !

That's ivhy Youth escaped him!
Ponce de Leon went forth to find the
fountain of youth . . . but he only dis
covered the real estate in Florida. He
i
failed to realize that youth is simply a
state of mind and a state of appearance.
The grandmother who dresses like a
flapper and bobs her hair has the only
real youth-formula. She knows that
youth is kept perennial by young
thoughts and young clothes.
The House of Kuppenheimer, this Fall,
is fifty years old . . . and feeling like a colt.

A blue suit is like gold currency. It never goes out of style.
But there are blues and blues . . . the most delightful of which
arc the new Kuppenheimer blues which range in tone from the
dark sonorous blue of an Irish lassie's eye to the green blue of
the sea . . . Banff Blues ore especially smart, tailored in the
new Charleston Sack ... as shown on the young man above.
