tirely with the bank room and upper
floor torn out. Construction will
tart immediately to be completed
by April 1.
Radical changes in the interior of
tba building will serve the public to
better advantage as the lobby will
be practically twice as large. The
back stairway used as an access to
the upper rooms in the bank, will
be torn out as will the present vault. I
The use of the stairway in the Pelti j
building haa been contracted for. :
Included in the new bank futures
will be two large safety Taults. one
for the bank and one for the safety
deposit department. Purchase of an
up-to-date vault door has been made.
All ot the old fixtures will be com
pletely torn out and a contract has
been let with the P. T. Atnge com
pany of Portland to install com
plete seta ot new banking fixtures.
As architect has been in the city
for the past two weeks conferring
with bank officials in regard to the
renovation of the building.
"We have been crowded for space
for some time and have been unable
to take care of the customers in the
Banner we would like," said Sir
Bubb yesterday.
"A complete set of new banking
fixtures will enable ns to employ
more help during the coming years."
