store, on their way to Diamond lake.
Ever since Franklin has keen a
member of the Western Auto staff,
his car has beon the subject of much
discussion among nil who hnvn seen
It. It has every bit of equipment
needed for such a car. From bump
er to bumper and from side lo side.
It has been fitted for
needed on a trip.
Starting at the front of the car,
It Is equipped with a heavy duty
bumper. Detween the guards, Just
behind the bumper a service unit
la carried. This provides for a con
tainer for extra gasoline, oil and
water. A road light Is attached tot
the front spring. This provides a
ray of light to be thrown across the
road and about two feet off the
ground, making night driving safe
even In fuggy weather.
The tourist's kitchenette Is part
of the equipment on the left run
ning board of the car. The kitchen-,
ette provides space for a large cake
of Ice, several gallona of Ice water,
space for fresh vegetables and meat,
and a safe carrier for butter and
eggs. The cover for this case, when
let down, may be used as a table.
Other equipment on this side of the
car consists of a case containing a
Coleman stoVe, Coleman luntorn,
aluminum set of dishes, dish towels,
etc. The back of the car la equip
ped with another heavy bumper, two
spare tires and a wardrobe trunk.
The right hand running board
carries another special built trunk
which Franklin uses for clothing,
camera, and films. Tho other spe
cial trunks on the same side of the
car contains groceries, a folding ta
ble and folding chairs. When these
trunks are closed and locked, there
Is room enough left to open the
doors to either the front or the ton
neau of the car. In the back of the
everything ' car, the bedding, tout, air mattress
and pll!6ws are carried.
Motorists of Klamath Falls who
had the pleasure of seeing the car
declared It to be the most complete
touring car of Its kind In the west.
The board of directors for the
community hall, the school directors
and faculty held a meeting last
week to arrange for Ihe use of the
community ball by the school for
gymnastic purposes. ,
The following schedule was ar
ranged to run for 13 weeks, begin
ning about December 1.
For ono hour Monday and Wed
nesday afternoons by the four upper
grades.

Thursday afternoons by the high,

hall practice.
From 7 to 9 Monday and Wednes-,
day evenings for the high school
boys and girls basketball practice.
Because of the smooth floor and
the large space both for spectators

make a splendid gymnasium. Plans;
are being made for the Installation '
of ahowers for both dressing rooms.
Backboards for basketball will be!
put up Immediately. . I
With a real gymnasium to work .
In and such good material to work
with, and with Coach Henderson
still "on the Job," the school Is
already waxing enthusiastic about
the coming basketball season.

rill district this wc;k by organising
a girls glee club. This Is the first
part work the girls have tried, and
they are very Interested In it.
While filling oat the high school
reports, Professor Turnbaugh found
some rather Interesting facts:
That there Is an equal number of
boys and girls In attendance.
That the Freshman class Is larger
than the Junior and Senior classes
combined.
Tliut there were 90 more wholu
f number of days attendance the first
month of tbis year that there were
last year during the same period,
That the attendance this first
month reached the remarkable av
erage of 97.6 per cent.
The Merrill teams played their
first games of soccer and volley
ball today at Henley. Although they
played good games, both teams were
defeated.
Miss McClelland, the county health
nurse, conducts a class in home
hygiene here on Tuesday afternoons,
and which will continue probobly
until the first part of January. The
claaa Is not large, but those taking

Bail-Bearing Cream Separators
win satisfied friends everywhere
Several years ago the Primrose reached the' point
where it was as nearly perfect as any plain-bearing
machine could b. But the engineers were not con
tent to stop there. They realized that close skim-
ming is doubly desirable when coupled with easy'
turning. The result .of their determination to com
bine the two is the McCormick-Deering Primrose
Eall-Bearing Cream Separator a mechanical mas
terpiece. These close-skimming, easy-turning machines
have been in use throughout the country for several
years. They have been used and compared with
other machines by thousands of farmeVs. They are
being adopted in ever-increasing numbers on the
strength of their superior work and construction and
their ability to earn more dairy dollars with less
work.
