Dan Cupid Bats Out
New Record in 1925
September crept into the . limbo
of years last night, and 'lth the
dawn of thla morning the thirty
days that hath September were but
another notch In history.
But In that short space of thirty
day young Dan Cupid came back
into his own after a particularly
disgraceful showing In August.
. On record in the county clerks
offica of the court house 15 mar
riage licenses were Issued, and all
returned for filing in the clerk's
office.'
Cupid bettered his 1924 record by
one. when only 14 were recorded
In the clerk's office during Septem
ber of last year.
But that is not the reason Dan
has been strutting around the court
house. The tact is this: Only eight
decrees were granted during the
nnnfh and the horny old Man of
War failed to come up to his stand
ard, as he has in several of the
put months of the year.
Ten divorces were filed in the
office of the deputy clerk during
the past month.
October, must now be on her
guard. She-has a stiff old fight to
make If plans of the Old Man of
War, healthy aa he has been, ma

long time loans to farmers, admit
tedly a system of great advantage
to the stockman and grower.
Among chief matters of import
ance to be dealt with Is initial
work of organizing the incorpora
tion of an agricultural credit as
sociation among the farmers of
' Klamath. This nndertaking hopes
to aid the farmer with loans of
from nine months to three years
which would obviate the neces
sity of the farmer liquidating his
stock under short-time loan handi
caps. Such loans would also in
clude farm produce, with an in
terest plan which w.ould never nec
essitate the principal becoming due
at any given time, snort of that
affixed by arrangement. This, say
farmers, eliminates loans made on
each year's crop, becoming due on
harvest and gives the grower a
chance to develop and get back on
his feet unhandicapped by heavy
ehort-tlme payments. j
Saturday at 2:30 p. m., an In

Jewett will also make an address.
, All members of the Beveral fed
eral farm loan associations In this
county, their wives, families and
friends, and, In fact, any one In
terested in the welfare of agricul
tural and livestock industries in

Wrinkles
Some wise people wear
glasses so they can see better
easier, and get more comfort
without squinting and strain
ing the eyes. This squinting '
causes wrinkles to form.
These wrinkles can be avoid
ed by having glasses fitted so
as to relieve the excessive
strain on the muscles.
Which Is best? Wrinkles,
eye strain and discomfort or
glasses?
