Klamath Federated
Clubi Is Recognized
Ideas originating In Klamath
couuty hiv a happy fucully for re
ceiving good publicity and gaining
stute-wide attention.
Such an example Is the Slop, For
est Fires campaign.
But a more recent return la In
tho manner of tho Klamath county
Federated board, organised under
the auspices of the Klamath ounty
chamber of commerce early this
spring. In which practically every
Community In Klamath county which
haa any sort of a community organi
sation or county group la repre
sented. Yesterday In the chambor of com
merce, Socretary Babln received a
request from Oregon, City, which
chamber la sponsoring the organisa
tion of a similar group. ' Another
group to seek Information was re
ceived from the president of the
Commercial Organizations' secretar
ies. The main bones of contention that
bothered the Oregon City builders
were what basis of representation
could be fixed, what organisations
should be included In membership,
and how often should meetings be
held.
This and much more Information
waa sent to the Inquiring group, In
the hope that a similar group may
meet with the success of the Klam
ath board. ... . . " .
Convict Sends Miller ....
A Belt; It's Top Short
Anyone want to buy a hand-made
borso hair belt with a romance?
That Is the question of the hour
In tho office of J. J. Miller, for a
friendly convict In the Utah state
prison, Walter Shirley by name, has
sent Miller a horse hair belt, hand
braided in the brightest of reds,
blacka and whltea, and requests that
the, receiver tend money to the
muker in respect to what the belt
is worth. , . ,
, But Miller has gained In girth
since he waa a lad, and the belt. Is
too small.
j Now Lee Carter, in the same of
fice, will receive sealed bids tor the
belt, which la expected to cut quite
a caper at tho coming state fair.
