BEATTY CHURCH

Sunday waa a great day In Beatty
whpn the new church was dedicated
to the worship of God. It was per
haps the moat notable gathering
ever assembled on the Klamath In
dian mlmlnn. There were present:
Bishop William O. Shepard, of
Portland; Or. Dean, secretary of
evangelism, of the home mission
board, at Philadelphia: Rev. S. A.
Danford, superintendent of the
southern district; Rev. Cheney, of
Ashlsnd: Jlev. L. F. Belknap, of
Medford, former . pastor, and Rav.
Mcintosh, present pastor.
Dr. Danford had charge of .the
service and Introduced he minis
ters to the large end expectant aud
tence and called on Rev. Kelknap
to open the service by prayer. After
which be wss called on to give a
brief account of his six years work
on the mission and the erection of
the new church. He told of how he
bad seen trie church grow from

or tha forest, until It rose as a
temple ot God In the little town
