Exceptionally Good

trowlh of the early spring lamb
crop during April continued excep
tionally pood, and in nearly all areas
the May 1 condition was the best in
some years, according to the report
of the I'ntted Slates department of
agriculture. Except for the last
week the weather during April was
unusually n-.ild. with much sunshine.
Pastures made good growth, and
green feed was everywhere plenti
ful. The market movement from
ail ittip.irt'tnt aretis will probably be
nearly two weeks earlii r than lust
year.
In California feed conditions re
mained excellent, and the bulk of
the early lambs Is maturing rapidly.
