up Is imminent In the Balkans.
The approaching trouble may be
even more serious than the most
recent upheaval during which Jugo-:
Slavla all sent troops across the
Bulgarian border after Bulgarian,
politic-Inns and newspapers declared
that the plot to murder King Boris j
and destroy the Bulgarian govern-,
ment with a tomb had been fost-j
ered ln Belgrade and tacitly ap
proved by Jugo-Slav officials. ' j
. By June I, Bulgaria must demob-j
llize the 10.000 additional militia-,
men granted her by the council
of nmbassadCTS In " Paris for the
specific purpos? of putting down
the revolution for which the blast j
of the Sveti Krai cathedral bombj
was the signal. The allies expect
Premier Zankoff to do his utmost
to avoid demobilization on the pre-J
text that the Bulgarian situation'
still Is ao serious that military re-'
trencliment would bare the state to-
rebel attacks which Is could not
withstand. ,
Play For Time
Zankoff is expected to play' for
time by any means that presents
itself if permission to retain the
10,000 men in service is not grant
ed by t!ie allies.
The first move of course will be
1 request for an extension of the
time limit.
If the demobilization Is not com
plete by Juu? 1 there will be angry
reactions In Jugo-Slavla and Orecee.
These countries already have con
centrated large bodies of troops,
along the Bulgarian frontiers and
these will be reinforced to the limit
of Greek and Jugo Slav ability If
the 10.000 Bulgarians remain un
der arms beyond the agreed upon
date.
There would be quite aa much
disagreeable feeling In Athens and
Belgrado If the ambassadors should
grant Bulgaria an extension -of the
demobilization time limit. Bulgaria
la suspected In every Balkan capl

Bulgarian frontiers to invade the
country.
