THE CHICAGO POISON CASE
Mr. and Mrs. William D. Shepherd, foster parents of the late Wil
liam Nelson McCIintock, "millionaire orphan," who died last December
of typhoid fever. Mr. Shepherd is accused of having killed McCIintock
by inoculating him with typhoid germ.

Instead of aending its bad boys to reform schools, Italy has a
fleet of ships, on which the boys receive stern and rigid lessons in
discipline, and at the same time get a good knowledge of seamanship.
Quite a few former bad boys now hold officers' posts on Italian mer
chant marine vessels.
