HERE'S HOW YOU CAN WIN:
Play COINWORD every week between now and January 31st, 1964, because you
have a BIG chance to win $2,500.00 or one of three cash prizes for fewest errors in your
entries.
These are the new rules:
Any person turning in a perfect entry between now and Jan. 31, will receive
$2,500.00. If more than one perfect entry is submitted the $2,500.00 will be split. In the
event no one has turned in a perfect entry by Jan. 31, the money will be divided into three
prizes and awarded to contestants who have the fewest mistakes in their COINWORD
entries any one week during the four-week period. Awards are: First Prize, $1,200.00;
Second Prize, $800.00; Third Prize, $500.00. Where ties occur prize money will be divid
ed equally. The new rules offer many chances to win so start right now and piay COIN
WORD TONIGHT and every Friday thereafter.

COINWORD CONTEST RULES
1. Solve COINWORD as you would ony other cross
word puzzle.
2. Anyone is eligible to entor the contest except em
ployes of the Herald and News and their families, and em
ployes of Suburban Drug ond Waggoner Drug Co., and their
families.
3. A contestant may submit as many entries as he
wishes, using the entry bfank printed in this paper, or exact
sized, hand-drown facsimiles of the puzzle made without
use of carbon paper or other duplicating means.
4. To submit an entry o contestant may deposit his
complete puzzle along with his name and address in the
COINWORD contest box ot Waggoner Drug Co., 839 Main
St., or Suburban Drug Co., 3950 So. 6th, or attach the com
pleted puzzle along with his name end address on a 4c post
card and mail it to the COINWORD Editor, Herald and
News, P.O. Box 941. Mail entries must be postmarked not
later than 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, and entries must be deposited
in the COINWORD contest boxes by 12:00 noon Wednesday.
5. There is only one correct solution to each COIN
WORD PUZZLE. Decision of the judges is final and all con.
testants agree to abide by the official answer supplied by the
COINWORD editor. All entries become the property of the
paper. Only one prize will be owarded to a family unit.
6. Entries must be mailed or delivered by hand before
closing deadlines. No entries con be returned. The answer
will be published in the Herald and News.
