Beauty Budget
For Teen-Agers
By ALICIA HART
lleauty Editor
Newspaper Enterprise Also.
A teen-ager taking her first stab
at make-up is faced with a bewil
dering array of beauty prepara
tions. You can budget beauty dol
lars by selecting the basics and
by eliminating nonessentials.
Mai tine trom scratch, you
should be able to put together
your beauty chest for about $7.50.
Mistakes can be costly if a wrong
choice Is made, so shop. Take
advantage of free counseling at
beauty counters.
Regardless of how good your
complexion may be, a make-up
base is an asset. Young skins can
attractively wear liquid make-up!
Indoors and out. Set aside a good
portion of your budget for this im
portant item. A line textured
creamy base is best for dry and
normal skins, while a medicated
or water-base foundation is best
for oily types. One powder shade
is all you will need.
You will need two lipsticks one
in a pale pink and one in a deep
cr coral. Use separately or apply lubricant to keep y o u r .skin
one over the other for a range of smooth and supple, and as part of
lin colors that will so with all vour simple weekly facial. To round
clothes. Invest in a lip brush to
give you neatly outlined lips.
As for eye make-up, a natural,
unmade-up look is the most be
coming. Invest in an eyebrow pen-1
cil from the five-and-dime if you
have light eyebrows. A bottle ol
baby oil is the only other eye
make-up you will need now. The
oil will add sheen to your eyelids
and eyebrows.
Also use the baby oil as a
out your basic beauty wardrobe,
select witch hazel for a skin fresh
ener. Fat this on after washing
your face or after removing
make-up.

Terry clotli has great texture

The new look in beach robes
is suft and flowing, inspired by
floor-length, rope-belted monks'
robes or graceful Grecian togas.
Terry cloth is ideal for this as
shown by a two-color, figure
flattering toga. It is a perfect
knee - length beach cover - up.

Terry swimsuits fo wear un
der these robes feature the bare,

One terry suit is a very brief,
strapless bikini in hot pink.
Blouson effects in short play

newly exciting and add a soft

its blouscd bodice with tightly
fitted short shorts.
