LIFF and their son, Don, and
family of Klamath Falls visited
in Corvallis and Portland last
week. Mr. and Mrs. Raliff will
remain in Eugene with their
son, Jackie, and family during
the holidays. Another son. Vir
gil, and family of Ephrata,
Wash., w ill join them for Christmas.

Postmen Claim Dogs Biting Less - But Harder
Modoc Band To Display
New Uniforms At Game

spectacular new uniforms, the
Modoc Union High School
marching band will leave lor
San Francisco Dec. 27 to par
ticipate in the annual East-West
Shrine Foot ball fiame on Dec.
28. according to principal Marks
Smith.
The . 50-pieve Modoc High
band under the direction o
teacher, Mrs. Shirley Oxlcy, will
travel by bus to San Francisco
where reservations have been
made (or the band members at
the Manx Hotel.
The Modoc band will partici
pate with 4() high school bands
in the pie-game .pageant. They
are scheduled as the second
band unit to come out of the
tunnel onto the football field.
They w ill also play for the half
lime activities.
At half-time the ML'HS band
will be stationed near the goal
posts at the west end of the
stadium. Modoc has been as
signed a seating section at the
west end, Smith reported.
Accompanying the band mem
bcrs and acting as supervis
ors will he Mr. and Mrs. Marks
Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Ox
ley, Mr. and Sirs. Hilton Cun
diff and Sigurd Sonncvil.
The Modoc High School band
uniforms are scheduled lo ar
rive this week from the manu
facturers. The students in the
band have earned the money
for their handsome attire by a
sustained money raising drive
over the past two years. They
have also raised their own trav
eling expense money for the
trip to San Francisco.
