goes with holiday entertaining.
During this festive but hectic
season, you'll need all the help
you can find. Make one of your
holiday fetes a punch party,
featuring an easy-to-make but
imaginative, punch and com
pletely baked cakes, frozen
fresh from the oven and ready
to serve.
For a colorful effect, you may
want to deck each slice of cake
with a red or green cherry.
HOLIDAY BREW
4 apples
whole cloves
cup water
1 cup orange juice
2 cups grape juice
l'i cups sugar
34 cup lemon juice
Wash apples, core and fill
with whole cloves. Place apples
in low baking pan with a little
water. Bake in 350 degree oven
about 10 minutes or until slight
ly soft. Boil water and sugar
lor five minutes. Cool. Add lem
on, orange and grape juice.
Chill. Place apples in punch
bowl with cracked ice; add
punch. Serve immediately. "
Another great punch that's a
bubbly drink to serve with these
eoKce cakes is Fresh Fruit
Champagne Punch. Into a
large chilled glass pitcher,
place a few slices of apple,
grapefruit, -o range, pineapple
and banana. Sprinkle lightly
these coffee cakes as a change-of-pace
dessert after a holiday
meal. They are as successful
after dinner as they are for
breakfast or a late snack.
