his new job.
The Chief Executive, after
completing a day of conferences
and paper work. Friday had a
swim in the healed pool before
leaving the White House for his
suburban home.
Johnson was understood to
have begun using the pool Tues
day evening and to have con
tinued the practice every even
ing since tiien.
The late President John F.
Kennedy used to get in two
swims a day as therapy for his
back ailment. The pool was in
stalled at the White House dur
ing tlic tenure of President
Franklin D. Roosevelt whose
only exercise, because of polio,
was swimming.
