A Matchbox Gift
. By Evelyn Pickering
Surprise Mother, Sister, or a friend by
making- her this useful jewel box. Glue
two or three empty matchboxes together,
one on top of the other. When thoroughly
dry, you can either paint the set with a
gay-colored enamel or decorate it with a
bright bit of paper or a picture. The pull
out drawers make handy little containers
for pins, earrings, or other jewelry.

A Tiny Tent House
By Bea Kiles
(A Game for Younger Boys and Girls)
Here's something to do when one or two
playmates come over on a rainy day. Ask
your mother for an old deck of cards or
other stiff cards that are not too slippery.
Give each player 15 or 16 cards and see
who can use the most cards in building
a tent house before it falls.
Feather Blow Game
By Georgia Martin
Provide a feather or a piece of fluff
for as many groups of three or four as
there are in your party. Each group holds
hands, facing inwards. One tosses the
feather upward. The aim is to keep the
feather in the air by blowing it, but it
must not be touched with the hands. The
group that keeps its feather in the air
the longest wins.
