pital, it has been disclosed.

the FBI was told it could not
get such information without
court orders. He refused to say
whether Oswald had received
money by wire.
The Dallas Times Herald said
it learned Oswald received sums
ranging up to $10 or possibly
$30 at a time for several months
prior to the assassination and
his own slaying at tlie hands of
Jack Jtuby.

and was patient with the doz
ens of news cameramen who
clustered in front of him.
Because there were so many
cameramen on hand or the
session, they were admitted to

paign for Sunday's presidential
election wound up last midnight
with no sign of the outbreak of
Castro-Communist violence mat

line of succession lor the pres
idency in case of death, neither
makes it clear Itow to handle a
situation where tlie President
remains olive, but is unable to
execute the powers of Ins office.
Tlie Constitution states that
in a case of presidential "inabil
ity." his powers shall pass to
the vice presidency. However, it
does not say who shall deter
mine when the vice president
takes over.

lines for such an incident, but

search the East Bay hills Sun
day, hoping to find some trace

son. It will be the third search
since the attractive brunette
pre-mcd student vanished Oct.
29 shortly after leaving her
home here. However. Sunday's
search will be hy far the most
extensive.
Officials speculated that Judy
might have been killed in the
Berkeley-Oakland hills.
An early report said a man
saw a couple wrestling in a car
in the wooded hills above the
Claremont Hotel in Berkeley
about the time Judy disap
peared. A search of Strawberry Can
yon near the university was car
ried out by students hut failed
to find any clues.
AMA Opens
Meet Today
PORTLAND i CPU - The
American Medical Association
will open its annual convention
here Sunday. About 5,000 per

day meeting.
Four otlier conventions also

Council of Oregon opens a two

the commission to "report its
lindings and conclusions to him,
to the American people and to
the world." the White House said
Friday night.
Sen. Allen J. Ellender, D-La.,
cited foreign reaction to Os
wald's murder and urged that
"each and every detail and as
pect of last weekend's tragedy"
be made a matter of public
record.
