San Francisco 49ers Send Same
Lineup Against Dallas Cowboys
REDWOOD CITY, Calif.
(DPI) - Coach Jack Christian
sen of the San Francisco Forty
Niners plans to start exactly
the same lineup against Dallas
this Sunday that opened last
week's debacle against Detroit
The Cowboys, now 2-6 for tlie
season and coming off a 35-20
win over Washington, arn four
point favorites over the Forty
Niners, who are 1-7 for the
cant;aiqn.
Christ iansen says that Don
Merideth of the Cowtoys seems
much-improved after being
handed the starting role.
".Merideth had only three
touchdown passes in the first
six games, but he's throw n sev
en in the last two."
The Forty Ninor head man
said that he thought tlie Cow
boys might use tlie shotgun, tri
ple v ing, and double w ing along
wilh tlie more standard forma
tions. Cut he added that with Meri
deth going most of the way
himself, tlie offense probably
will be more simplified than
when the coaching staff calls
the plays and iMerideth and Ed
die Lebaron alternate.
