Thejtea table, placed under the handsome crystal
chandelier, was beautifully decorated by Mrs. Robert
Greene and Mrs. Howard Pernell. Roses shadinq from the
palest pink through wine red were arranged in honeycomb
style on a podestal silver dish for the centerpiece. Pink ta
pers in silver candelabra and silver appointments completed
the decor. Pictured at the table are Mrs. A. D. Perry, left,'
and Mrs. E. M. Bubb.
The W. L Whytal home on Lakeshore Drive was the setting for the
annual tea given by the women of St. -Paul's Episcopal Church on Saturday,
Oct. 19. Warm Indian summer sunshine, in direct contrast to last year's Col
umbus Day storm date, enabled the many guests to fully enjoy the charming
home and its picturesque lakeside setting. Arriving at the tea, above, left to
right, 'are Mrs. George Hillis, Mrs. Guy Barton and Mrs. Sylvia Malone.
- Two of the church women assisting' during the tea hours
were Mrs. Harry Todd, left, and Mrs. Norman Guyer.
At right is Janie Black who
played incidental background
music during the tea hours.
She was visiting her parents;
the Dr. Blacks, for a weekend
from her studies at Willamette
University.
