can turncoat Scott L. Rush, who
returned from Red China last
Saturday, gawked at luxuries he
has not seen for 13 years today

Rush, a former U.S. Army ser
geant who was captured in Korea
in 1930. is from Akron and Mar
ietta, Ohio, but his mother, Mrs.
II. L. Hush, now lives in Tucson,
Ariz.
He returned from China along
with his Chinese wife and H-month-old
daughter.
He said he did not know when
he would be able to leave for
home. "I've completed most of
the procedures," he said. "I hope
I can go home with my family
as soon as possible."
Rush, who told of hunger,
hardship and discontent in Com
munist China, said he and his
wife were fascinated by Hong
Kong.
"We've been sightseeing and
window shopping ever since wc
arrived here," he said.
The committee will hold its
next meeting in Klamath Falls
Oct. 4.

4-H horsemanship and horse show

Linnea Sundquist and Mary
Drace were awarded blue ribbons
in the senior Western horseman
ship division of 4-H competition.
